Egyptian Fresh Potato Prices Surged 30% in May-24 Due to High Demand

In May-24, there was a 30% increase in the price of fresh potatoes in the Egyptian market, reaching USD 271.08 per metric ton (mt), up from USD 208.52/mt in Mar-24. The price increase was due to the availability of potatoes from the new season and high demand from buyers.
