The Egyptian market continues to experience a significant shortage of refined sugar, primarily attributed to heightened consumption during Ramadan. This scarcity is exacerbated by the closure of old factories and increased costs associated with cultivation, benzene, solar prices for machinery, and electricity. As a result, the available supply in the Egyptian market remains limited, with prices ranging from approximately USD 0.94 to 1.26 per kilogram (kg).
