Turkey Imports Almost 2MMT of Barley and Wheat in Two Months

On December 1, 2022, the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) will tender 495,000MT of barley imports. TMO, which held 495,000MT of barley import on October 11 and 495,000MT of bread wheat on October 21, will hold 455,000MT of wheat import tender on November 29 and 495,000 MT of barley import tender on December 1. With the tenders to be held on November 29 and December 1, TMO will import 1.94MMT of barley and wheat in 2 months. It is worth noting that the TMO has begun an intensive import process in 2022 despite receiving a large number of products from farmers in comparison to previous years.
