Turkey will import agricultural and food products from Venezuela with zero import tax

According to the decision published by the government, Turkey will import 1.5 kmt of various kinds of cheese, 2 kmt of oat, 400 tons of peanuts, 5 kmt of sunflower seeds, 2 kmt of castor oil, 2 kmt of sesame seed, 1.5 kmt of chocolate and cacao products and 2 kmt of safflower from Venezuela with zero import tax applied to these imports.

The decision has been with frustration from local producers who do not believe that there is a need to import these products and that the domestic demand cold be easily fulfilled by the domestic products.
