Ukrainian raspberry producers report prices ranging from USD 1.64-3.28/kg in week 30 of 2022, which is on average a 27% WoW decrease. Market participants attribute the wide price range to varying quality of the raspberries. At the lower end of the range, residual batches of summer berries are sold on the domestic market, which is not exportable or in demand by the freezing companies.

The price decrease can be attributed to good production volumes coupled with low demand in the domestic market and limited export capacity due to the Russia Ukraine war. Furthermore, producers note limited demand for raspberries from processors due to current price levels remaining high. In essence, current supply is higher than demand, putting downward pressure on prices.
