The UN is reported to help Lebanon by delivering 50 KMT of wheat after the explosion has destroyed significant amount of wheat stocks in the Beyrout ports silos. The planned delivery of total of 50 KMT of wheat is said to cover for the next 3 months of the country's domestic consumption and the very first delivery of 17,5 KMT is expected to arrive in 10 days. The inflation rate has reached up to 90% during the month of June and the recent ammonium explosion is considered to have further triggered staple food prices in the country.
