Universities and producers explore ways to improve beetroot varieties

Spanish producers along with the Valencian Institute of Conservation and Improvement of Agrodiversity have partnered with the international initiative Crop Trust to develop beetroot varieties that are more resistant to today's climate conditions.

The project consists of tests carried on the new varieties under real conditions to later compare them with normal varieties. This is an ongoing project and the initiative seeks to use technology to create agricultural products resistant to today's climate change
