EU prohibited use of Metaflumizone pesticide

The European Union decided to prohibit the use of Metaflumizone, which is commonly used as a pesticide against insects, in the production of lettuce and broccoli on October 22th, 2021. As a result, the farmers, still suffering from a tremendous increase in their production costs for fuel, electricity, fertilizers, and pesticides, have to find alternative pesticides, which will severely affect production.
