US strawberry supply remains limited for the export market

A month after hailstorms in California's limited fresh strawberry supply, availability issues continue to persist. Packers have noted that prices remain high due to strong demand and existing commitments to the domestic market, Canada, and Mexico. Though some spot sales are made to export markets on a weekly basis, packers believe it will be a few months before there will be consistent availability for international buyers.
