During Week 43, the USDA issued a massive recall on more than 10,000 lbs of value added pork products such as pork rind and snacks that were imported to the US in Mid-September. This was not due to contamination, but due to lack of thorough inspection at US Customs facilities. Once the USDA realized this situation, the massive recall was issued as a caution measure. Adverse reaction from importers and consumers has not been reported by far.
