For the whole year of 2021, Vietnam imported 10 million MT of corn, with an average price at USD 287.4 per MT, decreased 17% in volume but increase 45.3% in value compared to 2020.
Vietnam imports corn mostly from Argentina, Argentina accounting for 59% of the total importing volume, reaching 5.92 million MT. The average price is at USD 300.4 per MT in 2021. In the second place, the import volume from Brazil reached 1.65 million MT. The average price was USD 234.4 per MT, decreasing by 46% in volume but increasing 22.9% in value compared to 2020.
