As of early Nov-23, Vietnam's canned tuna exports have demonstrated resilience and growth, surpassing USD 205 million, an increase of 7% year-over-year (YoY). The positive trend is due to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) agreements, particularly benefiting exports to specific markets. Notably, exports to the European Union (EU) experienced a remarkable surge, rising by 33% YoY. Other markets contributing to the growth include Chile, which witnessed a substantial increase of 132%, and Japan, which experienced a 17% growth. However, there were declines in exports to the United States, Canada, and Egypt, where demand reduced by 5%, 4%, and 62%, respectively.
