Mexican watermelon prices continue to be high, as shipments into the US are very low in W49. The Florida region has 2-3 weeks of stocks left, but supply is low overall as growers are only picking every other day. The quality has been very good. While the Mexican watermelon season is still ongoing, the cantaloupe season in Mexico has ended. The US has moved cantaloupe imports to Guatemala, but supply is low in W49. Quality from Guatemala has been excellent on recent imports into the US. Cantaloupe pricing has gone up with the shift to Guatemalan imports. On the other hand, honeydew supply is stable heading into the holiday season.
