From November to February, cold weather conditions affected the volume of watermelons that arrived in the United States through Nogales, Arizona. Sonora has been affected by several cold fronts, and low temperatures burned some extension of crops in Northwestern Mexico, reducing the volume of load that arrives in Nogales.
During W9, snow storms are forecasted for Nogales, Arizona, with a risk of losing crops in the north of Sonora. The main crops that will be affected are watermelons that have presented prices of over USD 200/700 lb bins.
