West African countries are increasing their production and export capacity for kola nut. The ECOWAS bloc including Ghana and Nigeria exported about US$ 3.115 m worth of Kola nuts to the world, with Cote d’Ivoire emerging as the leading exporter of Kola nuts while Ghana is the 2nd largest exporter followed by Guinea and Mali. The USA, Burkina Faso, and France were the top three importers of kola nuts from Ghana in 2019.
