Shea butter exports from West Africa to Europe is expected to reach an all time high despite the impact of COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions.
Ghana remains the main shipping point of the sub-region with more than 210,000 tonnes exported as Ghanaian origin, but Burkina Faso occupies a growing share of exports with more than 100,000 tonnes exported as originates from Burkina Faso. Benin comes third with more than 50,000 tonnes exported and Côte d'Ivoire has seen its exports increase to over 20,000 tonnes.
