2022 Sparkling Wine Export Trends

According to the Unione Italiana Vini Observatory, the first months of 2022 have shown an sharp increase of sparkling wine exports from Italy. Following a double-digit export growth in 2021, 2022 Q1 exports also increased by 18.3% to 1.7B. Significant export growth was visible in the UK (+93%), Poland (85%), and Canada (+76%). Exports to countries such as Germany, France, Belgium, Japan, and the Czech Republic also experienced an increase by at least 30%.
