Yellow pea harvesting is late for 2-3 weeks in Ukraine

In Ukraine, this year, the harvesting of yellow pea is expected to start 2-3 weeks later because of a lot of rains in May and June throughout Ukraine. The peas in this year are influenced by high moisture and require additional drying in the warehouse at the start of the season. Due to more favorable weather conditions than the previous year, a higher pea crop this year (550-600,000 tonnes) is expected than last year (520,000 tonnes), which places a pressure on prices. The lowest price this year is in the second part of July and all of September.
