Frozen Tilapia Prices Rise 18% WoW in Brazil on Increased Demand in Lent

Frozen tilapia wholesale prices in Sao Paulo, Brazil, rose 18% week-over-week and 21% month-over-month on the back of stronger demand during the Lenten season. This increases added to an upward trend that started in Q4 2022, when a lower supply -caused by increased production costs in H1 2022- was reported, as well as an increase in demand, both domestically and in the export markets.
