Tukey, one of major lentil producer has significantly increased its imports of lentils from the US

Turkey is one of the major producer and exporter of lentils, but now it is fufilling the domestic consumption with overseas supply. The lentil imports from the US to Turkey have grown sharply in 2020 to meet the local demand. The US remains the largest importers of lentils accounting for 1.24% export value with a total of 6.06M USD. Meanwhile, lentil imports from around the world have plummeted to under 400M USD.
