Limited Supply of Clove Leads The Price Increase in India

The wholesale price of clove in India has inclined by +27.41% YoY. The price of Indian clove stood at 9.54 USD in W3 Dec 2021, which was 7.47 USD in the year earlier. Due to the low productions of cloves, India has to depend on imported cloves. At the same time, Indonesia as the 2nd exporter of clove to India has decreased its export by -8% YoY during the first 7 months of 2021. As a result, the limited supply of cloves in India makes the price hike up in December 2021.
