Wholesale walnut prices in the Brazilian city of Uberlândia have climbed to USD 12.03/kg, the highest so far this year and more than double the price at the start of 2023. Prices have been increasing for the past four months due to global trends and the depletion of stocks in Chile, Brazil's main supplier. However, the ongoing Brazilian and Chilean harvests may result in downward pressure on prices, causing them to trend sideways in the short term.
