The wholesale price of peanuts in Argentina edged up +3.37%YoY to 1.86 USD/KG in W4 Dec 2021. At the same time, the wholesale price of peanuts in India fell -4.37%YoY to 0.76 USD/KG. Peanut exports from both countries increased in 2020 aligned with increasing global demand despite the Covid-19 pandemic. The increase in exports is likely to continue in 2022 as the implementation of reduced export duty rates on Argentinean peanut exports and expected increase in Indian peanut production.
