Onion Prices Rise by 27.5% MoM in Germany as Low Domestic Supply Leads to Reliance on Imports

Wholesale prices of fresh onions in Germany have risen over the past month due to low supply. In the Berlin market, imported Class 1 Yellow onion prices rose from €1.02 per 25-kg bag on the 6th of February to €1.30 per bag on the 6th of March, a 27.5% increase.
