Japanese tuna exports to Thailand have rebounded in 2020 after dipping to its all-time low in 2019. In addition, Japan's exports went against the downward trend of tuna exports worldwide. Japan has also gradually reduced its imports of tuna since 2017 which may indicate an increase in domestic production.
