Imported Tomato Prices Soar in the US

Import prices of tomatoes rose significantly in the US market given their low values in January and February. The US actually imports more tomatoes when it shows lower prices. The highest total volume received by the US occurred in February 2021. Mexico and Canada still dominate the tomato market in the US. The supply for Hothouse varieties continues to increase ahead of June 2021.
