Guava Price in Brazil Swings with High Demand

The wholesale price of guava in Brazil and Pakistan has increased in 2021 by +54.35% YoY and +10.96% YoY respectively. With the increasing demand for guava, it is sufficient to increase imports from these two markets which also pushes the price up. Guava wholesale price in Brazil rose higher to 1.29 USD / KG at W5 in August 2021 while in the Pakistan market, the price is at 0.35 USD / KG in the same period. However, drought is the biggest challenge for guava productivity in Brazil this year, as it will make the stock of the export decline.
