A slight decline in prices was seen in the Lahore, Palestine market around -10.99%. The wholesale price which has been widening since July, showed higher levels but prices quickly fell at the start of the year. Although the value could rise around May, the current price is still lower than last year. At the same time, the price of Russet potatoes in the US market has even fallen by more than 40% from last year. Prices showed lower values through the second week of May 2021. The US is also seen exporting more potatoes to Canada in the first half of 2021. Meanwhile, the price of potatoes in China is the cheapest among the three markets mentioned. The gap is not too wide and the price is likely to be stable until the beginning of the year.
