Wagyu Beef Prices in Tokyo Fall to Their Lowest Levels since 2020

The four-week average of wholesale prices of Wagyu beef in Tokyo, Japan, is down 27% from April 2022's multi-year high and stands at its lowest level since August 2020. Behind the decline is generalized inflation which hit Japanese consumer demand, which was redirected to other cheaper products.
