- Founded in 1962, when José Pérez Delgado, who worked in the wine business, sent Manuel to buy a factory in Mora de Toledo which had a cellar and a press

- The factory was then used to produce wine and olive oil, transporting oil in tanker trucks to packaging plant in the industrial quarter of A Ponte in Ourense

- The name is Abril (April in Spanish) because this is the month when the olive trees start to flower after the winter, and also in honor of The April Fair in Seville that our father Manuel loved so much, where he would go to meet all of the producers from the olive oil sector

- Moved the oil packaging plant to the San Cibrao industrial quarter in Ourense in 1997
