Birkenhead Brewery (Pty) Ltd

The Birkenhead Brewery was one of South Africa's first craft breweries when it opened in 1998. Their beers are invigorated by the ferocious power of South African landscapes and the charismatic characters that can be found here. Their beers were initially based on the sinking of the Birkenhead Ship along their coastline.

They now produce six distinct craft beers, with the possibility of producing additional unique beers whenever inspiration strikes. They filter and pasteurize all of our beers, which have a shelf life of nine months. Every beer at the Birkenhead Brewery is lovingly crafted in-house by our small group of skilled brewers, most of the time under the moonlight the take pride in our creativity and quality.
