In 1992, while still residing in Zwevegem-Knokke in South West Flanders, father Ivan and son Xavier Dhaene established the family firm Dhagrameat.

Ivan and Xavier relocated the company to its present Moen location at 13 Nijverheidslaan in 1999.

Charlotte Dhaene, Charlotte's sister, also joined the group that year. Currently, Dhagrameat employs 30 people. Werner Van Engeland also helps the squad out at the moment.
