With more than 50 years of experience, LABIZA was founded in 1958 by Victor Hugo Poveda Soria

LABIZA is a family company which started as a rice milling company with a proyection to industrialization under the name ¨Dos hermanos¨, dedicated to buying husk rice and selling milled rice in bulk.

In 1991, Victor Hugo's five sons, Hugo, Xavier, Gina, Maria Elena and Grace joined him to form LABIZA SA. With a new focus on innovation and techonology, they renew machines, optimize processes and make infrastructure improvements.

In 1993, LABIZA SA becomes the first company in Ecuador dedicated to the commercialization of selected rice with added value, with different number of references and with four different varieties under the brand, that would become their biggest brand, ARROZ SUPER EXTRA.

Nowadays, LABIZA has more than 25 years investing and working in order to build a more profound connection with all ecuadorians who know that " There is not a good meal, without a good plate of rice"
