Sasya Produce is an Agritech start-up with a big mission: to economically empower a large population of micro farmers and harmonise the global fresh produce supply chain they participate in.

Created by three founders being courageous, ambitious, daring optimistic and also lived experiences of how the current supply chain model fails farmers.

Sasya is a for-profit social impact company determined to find a better way.

Presently working closely with farmers in southern states of India, to bridge the knowledge gap in good farming practices and further, offer them a platform through which we can export their produce to high-value international markets.

As teams go, we have expertise in various fields like operations, marketing, technology and agriculture itself.

We envision a more modern, technologically-backed approach to farming, where we would be able to integrate the knowledge we possess in these diverse areas to improve traceability, quality, consistency of agricultural produce and to improve the livelihoods of micro farmers.

Baby corn

Baby corn or 'candle corn' is a young finger-like unfertilized cob of maize that is harvested early while the ears are very small and immature. It can be eaten raw or cooked. Baby corn is known for being rich in proteins, vitamins and iron; and is also one of the richest sources of phosphorus. Besides, since it is rich in fibrous protein and easy to digest, it is used extensively the preparation of baby foods.

Okra

Okra also known as 'Abelmoschus esculentus,' 'bhendi' or ladies finger is an important vegetable in tropical countries like India. Okra is available in India throughout the year making it the largest producer of the vegetable in the world. It is a fresh green vegetable with tapering ends and edible seeds. Cooking releases a slimy juice which often works as a thickening agent. The vegetable has gained popularity as it is a good source of vitamin A and folic acid, carbohydrates, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium. It is good for people suffering from renal colic, lecorrhoea and general weakness.
