Field Crops Producers Center Union of Turkey was established in Ankara on December 13, 2006 upon the request of the managers and members bringing together the producers included in the field crops product group within the scope of the Agricultural Producers Unions law no. 5200. Organization process is continuing rapidly in 81 provinces and districts. It was accepted by the members to use TARBIGEM as the abbreviation for the Field Crops Producers Center Union.
The Union is responsible for the control and sowing of all field crops in 81 provinces and 957 districts in Turkey. Only one Center Union can be established for each product within the framework of EU adjustment law. Therefore, every field crops planted in Turkey is under the control of Tarbigem.
Another important field of activity of Tarbigem is the gathering and evaluation of fertilizers, seeds and residues environmentally.
There are many sub-unions affiliated to Tarbigem in Turkey. One of our important activities is to coordinate our sub-unions and to increase the yield of the products planted by them.
The control of all field crops planted in Turkey (mainly including Wheat, Barley, Rye, Oats, Rice, Dry Beans, Lentils, Chickpea, Potato, Onion, Sugar Beet, Tobacco and Tea) is subject to Tarbigem.
Field Crops Producers Center Union is under the supervision and monitoring of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock of the Republic of Turkey. In addition to this, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Members of the Board of Directors are elected not by appointment, but by the election of the agricultural producer sub-unions established by the field crops producers.
