Vestfiskur

The 1993 establishment of Vestfiskur ehf specializes in the manufacturing and marketing of hard fish for both domestic and international markets. The drying chambers, processing area, and packing are all located in Savk, which is also where the company's major operations are. Three complete drying chambers are used in the company's production of dried fish, and there is also a shelf in Arnardal for conventionally skinned fish.

A division of the fish processing facility in Suureyri called Slandssago is called Vestfiskur ehf. Both fresh and frozen goods are produced for export by slandssaga. A pioneer in the export of fresh fish from the Westfjords, the company.
