Founded in 1986, Visscher Seafood first focused on the processing and distribution of North Sea fish, in particular flatfish such as sole. After adding Atlantic cod to the product range, the company quickly grew and new markets were tapped. Over the years, Visscher Seafood specialized in producing Atlantic salmon. The company was now large enough that we could buy directly from the farms in Norway, Scotland, Ireland and Iceland. This way, we could guarantee a steady flow of fresh salmon which made the company even more attractive for clients across Western Europe who needed their salmon fillets to be "as fresh as possible". 

Investing heavily in the education of our staff as well as certifications for our products and processing plants, Visscher Seafood has grown into a state-of-the-art supplier of pristine salmon products. Ideally located near Schiphol Airport and the Rotterdam harbour, we complement our superior North Atlantic products with excellent flexibility and customer focus when it comes to logistics. As a logical consequence, our export divisions has grown rapidly, as more and more overseas countries are discovering the benefits of doing business with Visscher Seafood.
