New Zealand’s most popular lemon, thought to be a hybrid between a true lemon and a mandarin. A large, juicy, smooth-skinned fruit, that is rounder than a true lemon. The skin is fragrant and thin, coloured a deep yellow with a slight orange tint when ripe. They have a sweeter, less acidic flavour than other more common lemon varieties, and the pulp is a dark yellow. Lemonade lemons are a hybrid citrus that is a cross between a mandarin orange and traditional lemon, with luscious unique flavour. More round than a traditional lemon, with a similar appearance to a lime, but they yellow as they ripen. With a low-acid content they have a sweet taste similar to an orange, however still retain a hint of tartness like a mild lemon.
