It is classified as a Thai fruit king which is a native plant of Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. The characteristics of durian are large, oval to round, and have a surface (green to brown) that is covered with hard thorns. Durian has more than 30 species, but only 9 species that can be eaten. It is divided into more than 200 species, with the most popular and cultivated varieties being Mon Thong varieties, gibbons, gold studs and long stalks. Durian is a fruit that has a unique smell by the flesh is like custard and has a taste like almonds. For some people said that durian has a pleasant smell but while some people think that it has a strong smell. We can eat both raw durian and ripe durian, depending on person likes. Moreover, it can be used to cook a variety of food.
