Canadian apple exports are expected to increase by 10% during the 2020/21 crop year according to USDA Global Agriculture Information Network data. Increased production in Ontario and Quebec is the primary reason as both provinces had favorable weather and timely moisture leading to large-sized, quality-colored apples. This being said, production in British Columbia is down as spring hail and summer wild-fire smoke affected the color of some varieties.
