300,000 tons of imported rice already in transit to Brazil

The Brazilian Rice Industry Association (Abiarroz) informed that between 250 to 300 thousand tons of rice bought from India, USA and Guyana are already in transit to Brazil. They will be tax exempted according to the decision taken yesterday by Brazilian authorities, valid for a maximum quota of 400 thousand tons until December.
