Turkey Exported 25% More Fruit and Vegetables in 2022 Compared to 2021

Turkish fruit and vegetable exports reached USD 2.5B in 2022, an increase of 25% YoY, whereas the total exports of fresh fruits and vegetables, including its added value products (processed, dried, frozen, etc.), reached USD 5.5B. Germany, the USA, Russia, England, and the Netherlands were the top 5 export markets. Tangerines, tomatoes, lemons, grapes, and apples ranked in the top 5 in fruit exports, followed by cherries, pomegranates, nectarines, oranges, and peaches. Turkey increased its tangerine exports from USD 453M in 2021 to USD 464.5M in 2022. The highest demand for tangerines came from Russia and Ukraine, with Russia accounting for 65% of total exports worth USD 302M. Turkey is currently in the top three in world in tangerine exports.
