70K/mt of Turkish Silifke Strawberry harvest is expected

Approximately 70K/mt of harvest is expected from 20K decares of land in Silifke district of Mersin. Strawberry is grown on 400 decares of land in Silifke. This season, an average of 4/mt of product is expected per acre. The harvest continues.

Silifke Chamber of Commerce and Industry:
Work has begun to register the Silifke Strawberry.
Strawberry production in the district constitutes 40% of the overall production in Turkey. This is reflected in 60 to 70% of Turkey's exports. Silifke Strawberry is indeed a brand in Turkey, and it is rapidly advancing towards becoming a brand in the world. As Chamber, we are working on registering the strawberry as 'Silifke Strawberry'.
