A number of lime exporters in Gresik regency in the East Java province were forced to sell their product solely to the local market due to the coronavirus pandemic that has disabled the shipment of their products to their regular market destination in Thailand and Malaysia. These suppliers have not been able to ship their products outside of Indonesia as the aforementioned countries temporarily shut down their port over the past two months. This current situation has significantly decreased these suppliers' revenue as they had to sell the bulk of their harvested lime quickly to avoid damaging their product at the current market price at IDR 4000/Kg, far below the bargaining price for export at IDR 10.000/Kg.
