Favorable weather leads to a high production output for sale, but the demand is low

This year's salt season thrived thanks to favorable weather: the early rain and prolonged sunshine lead to high production output. On average, each farm produced more than 30% compared to last year.
But the price is too low: currently only sold 0.026 USD per kilogram.
Production increased by 50% but the demand has been slow. The current market is precarious due to declining fish catches and partly due to the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic. Companies making fish sauce and seafood products are producing at moderate levels, so there is a lower demand for salt at this moment.
