The retail price of chicken meat has nearly doubled in Hungary on the local markets in the recent week. The reason behind the suddenly increased demand was the panic reaction of the society to the global pandemic. Industry specialists have confirmed that there is enough supply of chicken meat in Hungary, however logistical adjustment are required to arrange the flow of goods from the HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering) sector to the retail sector.
