Turkish chicken egg producers ready to re-start exports via Iran

Turkish egg exporters have expressed their delight in the re-opening of borders to Iran and Iraq. Iraq still continues to limit their egg purchases from Turkey through some regulations however Iran had served as an important gateway for Turkish egg exporters to markets such as Turkmenistan and Kuwait.

Now with the opening of the borders, the egg exporters are preparing to utilize Iran the same way as before and keep their competitive position in the market. During the Covid19 outbreak, Turkish exporters had to re-route their products through different countries which increased their costs and reduced their competitiveness in various markets.
