Although COVID-19 has had some extremely negative effects on some sectors of the economy, fruit exports from Colombia have not only remained steady, but also have increased their value during the first quarter of 2020. Fruit exports in general have increased by 9,3% compared to the same period in 2019, with especially high performers such as blueberries, which went from USD 1138 in 2019 to USD 380,349 in 2020, avocados, which increased by more than 20%, as well as mangos, bananas and Tahiti limes, among others.
