In normal times, the current coffee season in Ecuador was supposed to be very promising, with a projection of incrementing the production by 30% compared to last year, reaching a total of 325 000 60kg sacks. However, the COVID-19 Pandemic and the ongoing quarantine in Ecuador are threatening this prospect, with many farmers being unable to work and collect the product which, if not harvested in the appropriate timing, can be lost.
