Improved milk production centers in Nigeria

Kano State one of the major producers of cows in Northern Nigeria is investing in production technology to improve the value chain of milk production.
The project will reduce wastage caused by poor storage and unhygienic handling technique. 200 milk collection centers across the state will be provided with solar-powered milk cooling and storage facilities with testing kits, which will be complemented with the provision of milk collection cans.
This will help improve sanitation in their markets, provide safer milk and dairy products for local and export trade.
